Rooted and Reaching: A Vision for the Future of Silverwood
As we look ahead to the next five to ten years, Silverwood’s vision is both grounded and growing—rooted in the land that holds us, and reaching toward a future filled with promise, purpose, and transformation.
Like the forest that surrounds our school, our work is shaped by strong roots: a commitment to authentic learning, community connection, and a deep respect for the natural world. Our journey toward NWAIS accreditation reflects these values—honoring who we are while challenging us to grow with intention and integrity.
Our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) efforts continue to take root and branch out, ensuring that every child, every family, and every staff member feels seen, valued, and supported. We believe that belonging is not just a feeling—it is a living system we cultivate, like a healthy forest ecosystem, with care and consistency.
The opening of the Farmhouse classroom and the launch of our 6th–8th grade program mark important milestones—new growth rings in the life of our school. These programs are designed to nurture curiosity, critical thinking, and stewardship—helping students find their place in the world by first deepening their connection to the place they call home.
And through it all, we remain committed to the growth and evolution of our educational programming—learning from what has come before, responding to what is needed now, and shaping what comes next.
In the coming years, we will continue to learn from the trees: to stand tall with resilience, to bend with change, and to grow together in community. The forest teaches us that growth is not linear—it is layered, complex, and beautifully interconnected. So too is the future we are creating.
Together—with open hearts, rooted values, and a shared vision—we are not just imagining the future. We are tending to it.
