Every Silverwood journey begins with a conversation. If you are interested in learning more about our school, educational philosophy, or admissions process, we invite you to begin by completing our online inquiry form. A member of our Admissions Team will be in touch to answer your questions, learn more about your family, and help you explore whether Silverwood might be the right fit for your child.
Tour
We encourage all prospective students and their parents or guardians to visit our campus. After all, some things are best experienced firsthand! Many of our families tell us that when they first drove onto our beautiful, wooded campus, something just felt right.
We invite you to explore our learning spaces, experience the natural beauty of our 17-acre campus, meet our community, and get a glimpse of what makes Silverwood so special.
Campus tours are available by appointment. To schedule your visit, please complete our online inquiry form or call us at 360-697-7526.
Ready to Take the Next Step? Apply to Silverwood!
Following your campus tour, families who wish to move forward with the admissions process will receive access to our online application.
Our application process includes three steps:
1. Complete the Online Application
Submit the Silverwood School Application for Admission online.
2. Submit the Application Fee
A non-refundable application fee of $100 is due upon completion of the online application.
3. Request School Records
Request that your child's current school provide the supplementary information needed to support the admissions process.
What Happens Next?
Once all application materials have been received and the application is complete, a member of our Admissions Team will contact you to schedule your child's Campus Visit and Assessment.
This is an opportunity for us to get to know your child, learn more about their interests and strengths, and give them a glimpse of what being a Silverwood student is all about.

Submit Supplemental Application Material Requests
Certain school records are required by Silverwood to complete a prospective student’s application. Silverwood requires that these supplementary forms be sent directly from the current school to Silverwood.

We believe that investing in your child's education is an investment in their future. At Silverwood, we nurture intellectual curiosity, cultivate a lifelong love of learning, and help children grow into confident, compassionate human beings.
We also recognize that choosing an independent school is a significant financial commitment for families. We are committed to making a Silverwood education accessible to as many mission-aligned families as possible.
Tuition assistance is available, and families are encouraged to apply through Clarity, an independent tuition assistance application processor.

On our 17-acre wooded campus between Poulsbo and Silverdale, learning extends far beyond classroom walls. Students build forts, investigate the natural world, collaborate on projects, take intellectual risks, and discover that some of the best learning happens when curiosity leads the way.

Campus Visit & Assessment
Once your application is complete and all required materials have been received, a member of our Admissions Team will contact your family to schedule your child's Campus Visit and Assessment.
Campus Visits and Assessments take place between January and March each year. Scheduling typically begins in late January or early February, following the completion of re-enrollment for our current families.
Please plan for the following visit lengths:
Prospective Kindergarten Students: Half-day visit
Prospective Students in Grades 1–8: Full-day visit
The Campus Visit gives your child an opportunity to experience a day at Silverwood, meet teachers and students, explore our learning spaces, and participate in age-appropriate activities. It also gives us an opportunity to get to know your child, learn about their interests and strengths, and better understand how Silverwood might support their growth.
We want this to be a positive and welcoming experience for your child and family!
Admissions Decisions & Enrollment
Admissions and financial aid decisions are made at the end of March. Families will receive one of the following admissions decisions:
Offer of Admission: Families offered admission will receive an enrollment contract along with their admissions decision.
Admissions Wait Pool: Applicants may be placed in our wait pool for consideration as openings become available.
Invitation to Reapply: Some applicants may be encouraged to reapply in a future admissions cycle.
Families receiving an offer of admission will be asked to return their signed enrollment contract and non-refundable enrollment deposit in early April to secure their child's placement.
Understanding Our Admissions Wait Pool
At Silverwood, we thoughtfully build each classroom community to create a balanced learning environment that supports the needs, strengths, and dynamics of all students.
Because of this, admissions decisions consider not only an individual applicant's readiness and fit, but also the composition of each classroom cohort.
Applicants placed in our admissions wait pool are considered on a rolling basis as openings become available. Our wait pool is unranked, meaning there is no numbered order of applicants. All students in the wait pool are considered for each available opening based on the needs and balance of the classroom at that time.
Families may choose to withdraw their child from the wait pool at any time without penalty or repercussions.
We recognize that waiting for an admissions decision can be difficult, and we appreciate the trust families place in Silverwood throughout this process.

Once an admissions decision has been made, our Admissions Team will communicate the decision directly to your family.
If you choose to join our community, we will send you an enrollment contract along with the necessary back-to-school forms and paperwork to complete before the start of the school year.
